Patio on Sundays and church office during the week
Thank you to everyone who purchases scrip. Stop by the scrip table Sunday morning to see what we have on hand. We carry scrip for most restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, Arco and Shell Gas, Home Depot and Lowe's, Starbucks, Amazon, Toys R Us, Walmart, etc. A list is posted on the bulletin board in the church breezeway. Preorders are also available.
As the holiday season approaches, please remember to use scrip for all your purchases or gifts to family.
Ways to use scrip - clothing for grandchildren - purchase scrip for the store you wish to use and email or call the scrip card and PIN number to your family so they can shop over the phone or on line. This saves you postage and they have the card and PIN number instantly. Great for birthdays also.

Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. from September through June.
The Christmas Season is upon us. After an exhausting day at work, it is inspirational and soothing to go to choir practice. The music enabes one to put the stress of their day behind them, get in touch with something beautiful and holy, and end the day relaxed and uplifted.

| Prayer and Meditation Garden |

A peaceful and serene setting awaits you in our new Meditation Garden. Enter and reflect on the beauty of God's gifts to us and feel His presence.
The garden is a continuous work in progress. Come see for yourself. As you enter the church parking lot, look to the rear and to the north. You will see that paths have been laid, olive trees planted, benches strategically placed, and a fence erected. Climbing roses have been planted at the fence and will soon begin their climb.
This garden has long been a dream of parishioner Todd Hailstone, and with the help of men from the church and many generous donations, his dream is being fulfilled.
Much work needs to be done, however. There are plans for groundcover, more plantings, and an archway erected. This project will go forward as contributions are received. If you have "caught our vision" and wish to become a part of this wonderful project, please make your checks payable to TUMC and mark it "Meditation Garden"

We started a new class on Sept. 7, 2008, "The Life & Times of the Apostle Paul" using the DVD series "The Apostles".
We meet at 9:00 in Room #6. All are welcome.
This study will look at the life of Paul from the time of his education in Jerusalem under Rabbi Gamaliel, through his conversion to Christianity, and will look in depth at his efforts to spread Christianity.
